How can an urban dist­rict be revi­ta­li­zed by upg­ra­ding its exte­rior ligh­ting? This was the ques­tion Cannes City Coun­cil asked them­sel­ves with the goal of making the dist­rict of La Bocca in the heart of the city att­rac­tive for visi­tors and locals again. Now the light of the Olivio lumi­na­ires too in this newly illu­mi­na­ted dist­rict not only pro­vide secu­rity and well-being but att­rac­ti­ve­ness too.
 

For uni­form illu­mi­na­tion of the vari­ous public areas in the dist­rict such as squ­ares, boule­vards, alleys or shop­ping stre­ets, the city of Cannes opted for Flo­ra­cion poles of dif­fe­rent heights, fitted with Olivio lumi­na­ires. This has resul­ted in effi­ci­ent and imp­res­sive ligh­ting that is ideal for all the dif­fe­rent ligh­ting tasks. The multi-func­ti­ona­lity of the Olivio lumi­na­ire family has meant came­ras for video sur­ve­il­lance, louds­pe­akers, brac­kets for adver­ti­sing ban­ners or even gobo pro­jec­tors can be integ­ra­ted into the poles.

Olivio system poles of dif­fe­rent heights have been erec­ted in dist­rict of La Bocca. The plan­ners exp­lo­ited the ver­sa­ti­lity of this lumi­na­ire family with regards to the posi­ti­ons of the lumi­na­ire heads and colour com­bi­na­ti­ons for lumi­na­ire, pole and inlay, with lumi­na­ire heads arran­ged indi­vi­du­ally around the pole – in accor­dance with the ligh­ting con­cept. As a result, unique lumi­na­ire con­fi­gu­ra­ti­ons have been cre­ated that ensure att­rac­tive accents are set by night in this urban envi­ron­ment. By day too, the Olivio lumi­na­ires har­mo­ni­o­usly blend into their sur­ro­un­dings in this urban space like reser­ved sculp­tu­res.

    The organic design of Olivio and its functional versatility due to the modular design of this luminaire family is inspired by role models from nature. As a result Olivio forms the basis for light concepts in urban living areas where the focus is on the well-being of people. Olivio luminaire heads are available in the sizes Grande, Medio and Piccolo and can be combined with various arms and pole types from the three design lines Sistema, Floracion and Candelabra. Yet it is not just the design that can be adapted individually according to the situation – various optics and light colours from 2,700 to 4,000 Kelvin also cater for challenging lighting tasks efficiently and without glare: from illumination of paths and squares, floodlighting of façades and accent lighting of buildings. The new Olivio Cap also reduces light scatter and for special requirements, with its camera and loudspeaker modules, Olivio can be integrated into smart application scene. The special wooden-pole aesthetic emphasizes the Olivio's high quality, organic luminaire design. Combined with luminaire heads in a harmonoius colour tone such as bronze, this results in a timelessly comforting spatial ambience.
